The Honorable Tamara Needles
Judge Needles has served as the presiding judge of the 427th District Court since January, 2017.
Judge Needles also manages the Travis County Supervision and Monitoring for Alcohol Related Treatment (SMART) Re-Entry Court, which is a specialized docket operating bi-monthly and dedicated to the assessment, treatment and supervision of the participants of the SMART program. She also is the Chair of The Behavioral Health Criminal Justice Advisory Committee of Travis County that serves the population of our community that suffers from mental illness and substance use disorders and have been in contact with the criminal justice system.
